Contributions of Dutch Agricultural Engineering Research to Precision Agriculture
Abstract (English)
This article resumes contributions ofthe Dutch agricultural engineering research to the development ofprecision agriculture. Dead reckoning systems are discussed for the enhancement ofpositioning accuracy. As a fundamental basic for handling georeferred data in agriculture new information models were developed. The precision of site specific fertilizer applications was examined by modeHing of spread pattems. To allow an automatic mass flow calibration for fertilizer spreaders a dynamic weighing system is described.
